Section Pas 305.02 - Required Submissions(a) Before the construction of any new passenger tramway, the area operator shall submit to the board a profile of the lift line and a plan showing proximity of power lines, structures, woods, highways, and rivers. The plan and profile shall be submitted along with the appropriate application for construction and registration of the tramway.(b) Except in the case of a rope tow, conveyor or carousel, pursuant to Pas 305.01(a), the application shall be submitted on the "Application for New Construction, Modification or Relocation and Registration of T-bar, J-bar, Platter Pull, Chair Lift, Aerial Tramway or Gondola", as set forth in Pas 309.02(a).(c) In addition to the application required in (b) above, each operator shall submit the following: (1) A copy of the manufacturer's specifications for any new or replacement wire rope including: e. Minimum guaranteed breaking strength;(2) A certified copy of the results of a destruction test of the wire reope conducted by the manufacturer or a laboratory; and(3) A complete set of specifications and plans that shall be in the english language, with all dimensions shown in feet and inches in a font type and size that is readily legible.(d) In the case of a rope tow, the application shall be submitted on the "Application for New Construction, Modification or Relocation and Registration of Fiber Rope Tow or Wire Rope Tow" as set forth in Pas 309.02(b).(e) In addition to the application required in (d) above, each operator shall submit the following:(1) For pre-certified lifts, certification by the manufacturer that the lift conforms to the pre-certified submission, along with the equipment model number and date of certification approval;(2) For lifts that are not pre-certified, the following shall be submitted: a. A copy of the manufacturer's specifications for any new or replacement wire rope;b. A certified copy of the results of a destruction test of the wire rope conducted by the manufacturer or a laboratory; andc. A complete set of specifications and plans that shall be in the english language, with all dimensions shown in feet and inches in a font type and size that is readily legible.(f) In the case of a conveyor or carousel, the application shall be submitted on the "Application for New Construction, Modification or Relocation and Registration of Conveyor or Carousel" as set forth in Pas 309.02(c).(g) In addition to the application required in (f) above, each operator shall submit the following: (1) For pre-certified lifts, certification by the manufacturer that the lift conforms to the pre-certified submission;(2) For lifts that are not pre-certified, the following shall be submitted: a. A set of drawings, stamped by a qualified engineer, showing the basic structure, electrical and mechanical systems;b. A design parameter specification, stamped by a qualified engineer, showing the allowable operating and installation procedures, such as: 3. Use of recreational devices;4.
