Section Pari 809.04 - Examination of Greyhounds; Testing Greyhounds for Foreign Substances; Obligations of Licensees and Occupational Licensees(a) Urine, blood and saliva samples and samples of other bodily substances shall be taken and tested to carry out random and reasonable suspicion testing.(b) The taking of samples shall be taken under the supervision of the commission veterinarian.(c) During the taking of samples the kennel operator, owner or trainer shall:(1) Be present in the test area while a urine, blood or saliva sample is taken from his or her greyhound; and(2) After the taking of the sample sign the sample tag identifying the greyhound from which the sample was taken.(d) The commission veterinarian shall report to the board:(1) The refusal by a kennel operator, owner or trainer to allow the taking of a sample;(2) The interference by a kennel operator, owner or trainer with the taking of a sample; and(3) The refusal by a kennel operator, owner or trainer to sign the sample tag.(e) The commission's designee or the commission veterinarian shall take for analysis samples of any medication or other materials suspected of containing foreign substances.(f) Upon the request of the commission veterinarian kennel operators, owners and trainers shall submit greyhounds under their control for physical examination.(g) Licensees shall limit access to the test area to persons authorized by the commission veterinarian.N.H.
