Section Pari 806.30 - Application Process for Applicant for the Position of Judge
(a) Each person who wishes to apply for an occupational license for the position of judge under Pari 806.01(a) (8), shall do so by submitting to the commission, at its main office, a fully executed application form provided by the commission that contains the information specified in Pari 806.31 below, together with:
(1) The supporting materials specified in Pari 806.32;and
(2) The license fee required by Pari 806.02, Table 8.1;
(b) The application process described in Pari 806.03(h) through (j), inclusive, shall be the applicable to applications for a judge's occupational license.
(c) An application shall be considered to be on file with the commission on the first date that the commission has received:
(1) A fully completed application form;
(2) Proof that the applicant's check has been deposited and cleared; and
(3) All required supporting documentation.
(d) The commission shall approve or deny the application in writing within 60 days of the date that the application is on file with the commission.
(e) The application shall be granted if the applicant has:
(1) Complied with the application process set forth in these rules; and
(2) Meets the qualifications for the type of licensure for which the application is made.
(f) If the application is denied, the applicant may request an adjudicatory hearing to challenge the denial within 30 days from the date of the commission's notification of denial.
(g) A license issued under this section shall expire:
(1) On December 31 of the year for which the license is issued; or
(2) Upon termination of the license by the commission;
(h) A temporary judge appointed under Pari 805.01(d) who meets the qualifications of Pari 806.41(d) shall serve as a judge for a period not to exceed that set forth in Pari 806.41(c) without filing the application form supporting materials or fee normally required of occupationally licensed judges.
