Section Mirt 502.06 - Scope of Practice for Licensed Radiographers

The scope of practice for radiographers shall be as follows:

(a) If certified by the ARRT, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists' (ASRT) "Radiography Practice Standards", effective June 25, 2017, https://www.asrt.org/main/standards-regulations/practice-standards/practice-standards, available as noted in Appendix II; or

(b) If certified by CCI, as appropriate:

(1) The "Scope of Practice for the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)", revised May 2010 and available online to members at https://www.acp-online.org; or

(2) The "Scope of Practice for the Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)", revised May 2010 and available online to members at https://www.acp-online.org.

(c) Within the scopes outlined in (b)(1) and (2) above, the term "direct supervision" means having a physician in the room where the procedure is taking place.
