Section He-W 547.01 - Definitions
(a) "Department" means the New Hampshire department of health and human services.
(b) "Health promotion and anticipatory guidance" means services provided by a registered nurse to a newborn's parent or guardian within 60 days of the child's birth in accordance with He-W 547.04(c) .
(c) "Home visit for postpartum and newborn assessment (home visit) services" means services rendered to newborns and their birth mothers within the first 60 days of life at their residences.
(d) "Maternal postpartum assessment" means services provided to a woman within 60 days postpartum by a registered nurse, in accordance with He-W 547.04(b) .
(e) "Medicaid" means the Title XIX and Title XXI programs administered by the department, which makes medical assistance available to eligible individuals.
(f) "Newborn health assessment" means services provided by a registered nurse to a newborn within 60 days of birth, which includes a determination of whether or not the newborn's health is within normal limits, in accordance with He-W 547.04(a) .
(g) "Recipient" means any individual who is eligible for and receiving medical assistance under the medicaid program.
(h) "Title XIX" means the joint federal-state program described in Title XIX of the Social Security Act and administered in New Hampshire by the department under the medicaid program.
(i) "Title XXI" means the joint federal-state program described in Title XXI of the Social Security Act and administered in New Hampshire by the department under the medicaid program.
