Sources containing only byproduct material with a half-life of less than 30 days;b. Sources containing only byproduct material as a gas;c. Sources containing 3.7 megabecquerels (100 microcuries) or less of beta or gamma-emitting material or 370 kilobecquerels (10 microcuries) or less of alpha-emitting material;d. Seeds of iridium-192 encased in nylon ribbon; ande. Sources stored and not being used; but(2) Shall test each such source in (g)(1) above for leakage before any use or transfer unless it has been tested for leakage within 6 months before the date of use or transfer.(h) A licensee in possession of a sealed source or brachytherapy source, except for gamma stereotactic radiosurgery sources, shall conduct a physical inventory of all such sources in its possession at intervals not to exceed 6 months.(i) The licensee shall retain each sealed source inventory record for 3 years.(j) The sealed source inventory records shall contain:(1) The model number of each source;(2) The serial number, if one has been assigned;(3) The identity of each source radionuclide;(4) The estimated activity of each source radionuclide;(5) The location of each source;(6) The date of the inventory; and(7) The name of the individual who performed the inventory.N.H.
