Section He-C 4003.12 - Counselors, Counselors-In-Training, and Junior Counselors(a) At least 80 percent of all counselors at a residence camp shall be 18 years of age or older. (b) At least 80 percent of all counselors at a day camp shall: (1) Be 16 years of age or older; and(2) Be at least 2 years older than the campers with whom they are working.(c) Each counselor, CIT, and JC shall attend a comprehensive training program provided by or through the YRC before commencing any activities with campers.(d) No individual shall be a counselor, CIT, or JC who has any criminal conviction for any offense involving: (1) Causing or threatening direct physical injury to any individual;(2) Causing or threatening harm of any nature to any child or children; or(3) Unlawfully taking property of another, whether through force or threat of force or through deception.(e) No individual shall be a counselor, CIT, or JC who is listed on the central registry of founded reports of abuse and neglect.N.H.
