Section Hcp 302.02 - Audiology Educational Qualifications(a) The educational qualifications for licensure as an audiologist pursuant to RSA 137-F:13, I, shall be as follows: (1) At least one of the following degrees in the specialized area of audiology shall be: (2) The degree shall have been received from an educational institution or organization recognized by any of the following: a.Academy of Dispensing Audiology;b.Audiology Foundation of America;c.American Academy of Audiology; ord.American Speech-Language-Hearing Association;(3) At least 75 semester credit hours of study shall be completed, as evidenced by an official transcript, covering:a.The biological and physical sciences and mathematics;b.The behavior and/or social sciences; andc.The nature, prevention, evaluation, and treatment of speech, language, hearing, and related disorders.(4) At least 27 of the 75 semester credit hours shall be in basic science course work;(5) At least 36 of the 75 semester credit hours shall be in professional course work;(6) Applicants shall complete at least 350 hours of supervised clinical practicum that concerns the evaluation and treatment of children and adults with disorders of speech, language, and hearing;(7) At least 250 hours of the supervised clinical practicum shall be completed in audiology;(8) Applicants shall provide evidence of the completion of at least 9 consecutive months, at an average of no less than 30 hours per week, of clinical experience in audiology under the direct supervision of a board certified clinical audiologist; and(9) The requirement in (7) above may also be fulfilled by part-time clinical experience as follows: a.An average of at least 15-19 hours per week over 18 months;b.An average of at least 20-24 hours per week over 15 months; orc.An average of at least 25-29 hours per week over 12 months.(b) The clinical experience required pursuant to (a)(6) - (9) above shall additionally follow the completion of the requirements described in (a)(1) - (4) above.(c) For purposes of commencing the clinical experience required pursuant to (a)(6) - (9) above, completion of the second full year of a doctor or audiology degree program shall be considered by the board to be the equivalent of a master's degree.(d) In lieu of the requirements described in (a)(2) - (10) above, an applicant may submit evidence of having earned the Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (C.C.C.-A).N.H.
