Section Gen 404.05 - Standards for the Selection of Sanctions The board shall select appropriate sanction(s):
(a) From the list in Gen 404.02; and(b) By choosing, in light of the characteristics determined pursuant to Gen 404.04(b), the sanction or combination of sanctions most likely to: (1) Protect public health and safety;(2) Prevent future misconduct by the license holder;(3) Take into account any acknowledgement of fault and any cooperation with the board's investigation of misconduct;(4) Correct any attitudinal, educational or other deficiencies which led to the misconduct;(5) Encourage the responsible practice of genetic counseling; and(6) Demonstrate to the license holder and the public the board's intention to insure that its license holder practices in accordance with applicable law and the public welfare.N.H.
