Section Env-Ws 386.46 - Protection of the Purity of the Water of the South Branch of the Gale River(a) The purpose of this section is to protect the purity of the water of the South Branch of the Gale River, which is an auxiliary drinking water supply for the town of Littleton.(b) This section shall apply within the South Branch of the Gale River watershed above the South Branch dam which is located at approximate latitude 44°14'32", longitude 71°38'19", in the town of Bethlehem.(c) Any person violating this section shall, in accordance with RSA 485:26 be guilty of a misdemeanor if a natural person or guilty of a felony if any other person.(d) Land within the South Branch of the Gale River watershed which is within the U.S. National Forest system shall be subject to the terms of the "Memorandum of Understanding" between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service and the Littleton Water and Light Department.N.H.
