Section Env-Wq 906.05 - Fire Safety in Food Storage, Preparation, and Service Areas
(a) Fire safety in food storage, preparation, and service areas shall comply with the applicable provisions of the state fire safety code, Saf-C 6000, and (b) through (f), below. In the event of any conflict between (b) through (f), below, and the state fire code, the more stringent requirement shall apply.
(b) A fire suppression system and hood shall be installed over deep fryers and stoves with open flame grills.
(c) Electrical outlets installed near water sources shall be ground fault interrupter (GFI) protected.
(d) At least one "ABC" type fire extinguisher shall be:
(1) Mounted on the wall in the kitchen area not immediately adjacent to the stove; and
(2) Clearly identified.
(e) Ovens shall be properly ventilated.
(f) Automatic fire warning devices as defined in RSA 153:1, I, shall be installed in all interior areas used for food storage, preparation, or consumption.
