Section Env-Or 305.10 - Transfer Pumps(a) With the exception of transfer pumps temporarily used for maintenance purposes, no person shall install an oil transfer pump directly on the ground surface.(b) With the exception of transfer pumps temporarily used for maintenance purposes, an oil transfer pump shall be: (1) Secured to and separated from the ground surface by a concrete pad or other impermeable barrier; and(2) Firmly secured to a foundation capable of supporting the weight of the pump and the mechanical stresses commonly associated with the operation of the pump.(c) For purposes of this section, "temporarily used for maintenance purposes" means the pump is: (1) Brought to an AST system not more than 5 business days prior to being used; and(2) Removed from the site not more than 5 business days after being used.N.H.
