Section Env-Hw 607.03 - Rail and Water Shipments(a) In the case of bulk shipments delivered by water to a designated facility, a water transporter shall retain a copy of the manifest or shipping paper signed by the next transporter or designated facility for a period of 3 years from the date of acceptance by the initial transporter.(b) In the case of rail shipments, a rail transporter shall retain documents for 3 years from the date the hazardous waste was accepted by the initial transporter, as follows: (1) The initial rail transporter shall retain a copy of the manifest and the shipping paper;(2) Intermediate rail transporters shall retain a copy of the manifest or the shipping paper; and(3) The final rail transporter shall retain a copy of the signed manifest or the shipping paper if signed by the designated facility in lieu of the manifest.N.H.
