Section Env-Hw 1101.03 - Definitions(a) "Ampule" means an airtight vial made of glass, plastic, metal, or any combination of these materials.(b) "Destination facility" means a facility that treats, disposes of, or recycles universal waste. The term does not include a facility at which universal waste is only accumulated or at which the management activities described in Env-Hw 1109 through Env-Hw 1114 occur.(c) "Large quantity handler" means a universal waste handler who accumulates greater than or equal to 5,000 but less than 20,000 combined total kilograms of universal waste listed in the definition of "universal waste" in Env-Hw 104, on-site at any one time.(d) "Open original housing" means a container that holds mercury while the mercury performs its function within a mercury-containing device and that is open at one end, such as in a barometer or manometer.(e) "Small quantity handler" means a universal waste handler who accumulates less than 5,000 combined total kilograms of universal waste listed in the definition of "universal waste" in Env-Hw 104, on-site at any one time.(f) "Very large quantity handler" means a universal waste handler who accumulates greater than or equal to 20,000 combined total kilograms of universal waste listed in the definition of "universal waste" in Env-Hw 104, on-site at any one time.N.H.
