Section Env-Dw 502.17 - Adjustments to Distribution System Classification(a) If the department concludes that the classification resulting from Env-Dw 502.16 does not accurately reflect the complexity of the distribution system and the degree of skill required for its successful operation, the department shall adjust the classification as follows:(1) If the system is more complex or if a higher degree of skill is required for successful operation, the department shall increase the system classification by one grade, subject to the limitation that grade IV is the highest grade; and(2) If the system is less complex or if a lower degree of skill is required for successful operation, the department shall decrease the system classification by one grade, subject to the limitation that grade I-A is the lowest grade.(b) The determination to raise or lower the classification of a distribution system shall be based on inconsistency with other similar distribution systems and public health and safety concerns.N.H.
