Section Env-A 1303.03 - Work Practice Standard; Performance Tune-UpsThe owner or operator of one or more utility boiler(s) having a heat input rate of at least 5 million Btu per hour but less than 50 million Btu per hour per boiler shall, at least once every 12 months:
(a) Conduct a performance tune-up on each such boiler: (1) Using the procedures specified in 40 CFR 63, Subpart JJJJJJ, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional Boilers Area Sources, or 40 CFR 63, Subpart DDDDD, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Major Sources: Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional Boilers and Process Heaters;(2) Burning the type of fuel, or fuels in the case of boilers that routinely burn two types of fuels at the same time, that provide the majority of the heat input to the boiler over the 12 months prior to the tune-up; and(3) Within 30 days of startup, if the unit is not operating on the date by which a tune-up is required; and(b) Perform gaseous concentration measurements for each such boiler in accordance with NOx RACT testing, as specified in Env-A 800.N.H.
