Section Ed 209.01 - Authority of Hearing OfficerThe hearing officer shall:
(b) Regulate and control the course of hearing;(c) Administer oaths or affirmations;(d) Determine the order of proof;(e) Receive relevant evidence;(f) Take official notice of facts which are of common knowledge and general notoriety;(g) Dispose of procedural requests;(h) Hold informal conferences, preceding a prehearing;(i) Interview or examine parties or witnesses;(j) Consider and evaluate facts and evidence in order to make proposed findings of fact or conclusions of law;(k) Cause a complete record of any proceeding to be made; and(l) Take any other action, consistent with applicable statutes and rules, necessary to conduct and complete the proceeding in a fair and timely manner.N.H.
