Section Ed 1107.03 - Independent Educational Evaluations(a) The expense incurred in any LEA evaluation procedure recommended by the IEP team shall not be the financial obligation of the parent but shall be the responsibility of the LEA or other financial resources such as, but not limited to, another public agency or Medicaid.(b) The LEA shall comply with 34 CFR 300.502, relative to independent educational evaluation.(c) The agency criteria determined by the LEA, as described in 34 CFR 300.502(a)(2) and 300.502(e), to the extent that they exceed qualified examiner criteria or establish geographic limitations, shall not be so restrictive that the parent does not have a choice of independent evaluators.N.H.
