(a) "Shampoo assistant apprentice" means any person shampooing, rinsing and removing rollers or permanent rods, rinsing treated or untreated hair, and other cleansing or sink-related functions not requiring the skill of a cosmetologist or barber.(b) A shampoo assistant apprentice shall be exempt from Bar 301.(c) A licensee who chooses to have a shampoo assistant apprentice shall file an application for a shampoo assistant apprentice registration for that individual.(d) The licensee shall ensure the shampoo assistant apprentice is at least 16 years of age.(e) The licensee shall complete and file an application for each apprentice registration by providing the following: (1) The shampoo assistant apprentice's full name;(2) The name, address, and telephone number of the shop;(4) Three passport photos of the apprentice;(5) The fee in the amount of $25.00; and(6) Signatures of the licensee and registrant.(f) The licensee shall allow an individual registered as a shampoo assistant apprentice to perform only the followingfunctions:(2) Rinsing and removing rollers or permanent rods;(3) Rinsing treated or untreated hair; and(4) Other cleansing or sink-related functions not requiring the skill of a cosmetologist or a barber.(g) The licensee shall ensure that the shampoo assistant apprentice has knowledge of and is capable of performing the above services prior to performing on a client.(h) The licensee shall have direct supervision over the shampoo assistant apprentice until the apprentice has completed at least 150 hours.(i) Once the shampoo assistant apprentice has completed the 150 hours a licensee shall be readily accessible, in the shop, at all times during services described in Bar 302.08(f).N.H.
