Nev. Admin. Code § 688A.150

Current through December 31, 2024
Section 688A.150 - Use of certain professional designations; restriction on fees

Terms such as "financial planner," "investment adviser," "financial consultant" or "financial counselor" must not be used in such a way as to imply that the insurance agent is generally engaged in an advisory business in which compensation is unrelated to sales, unless that is actually the case. This section is not intended to preclude a person who is a financial planner, an investment adviser, a financial consultant, a financial counselor or a member of a recognized trade or professional organization from using such a designation when selling an annuity, but a person who is a financial planner, an investment adviser, a financial consultant, a financial counselor or a member of a recognized trade or professional organization may not charge any fees for his or her services that are in addition to those fees customarily associated with the solicitation, negotiation or servicing of annuities.
