Section 640.Sec. 11 - NEW1. The Board may issue a license by endorsement as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant to a foreign educated physical therapist or foreign educated physical therapist assistant, as applicable, who meets the requirements set forth in subsection 2.2. To be eligible for licensure by endorsement pursuant to this section, a foreign educated physical therapist or foreign educated physical therapist assistant must: (a) At the time of application, hold a corresponding valid and current license or certification as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, as applicable, in the District of Columbia or any state or territory of the United States. A person who holds only a temporary license or certification as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, as applicable, in the District of Columbia or any state or territory of the United States is not eligible for licensure by endorsement pursuant to this section.(b) Submit to the Board:(1) A completed application establishing that the applicant has met the requirements of this section.(2) Verification of each license or certification as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, as applicable, currently or previously held by the applicant in the District of Columbia or any state or territory of the United States.(3) Proof that the applicant has successfully passed:(I) The National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy; and(II) The jurisprudence examination administered pursuant to subsection 2 of NAC 640.040.(4) A complete set of fingerprints and written permission authorizing the Board to forward the fingerprints to the Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for its report. The amount of the fees charged by the Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the handling of the fingerprint cards and issuance of the reports of criminal histories must be paid by the applicant.(c) Arrange for an original, verified copy of the report of the educational credentials review performed by the Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy which evaluates the education of the applicant and verifies that the education is substantially equivalent to the program of professional education for the applicable licensure which has been approved by the Board. The educational credentials review must be performed using the most recent edition of the Coursework Tool for Foreign Educated Physical Therapists developed by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, and the curriculum completed by the applicant must be evaluated in accordance with the standards of the Federation for use of the Coursework Tool. The report of the educational credentials review must be received by the Board directly from the Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy.3. A person who does not satisfy the requirements for licensure by endorsement pursuant to subsection 2 may apply for licensure by examination pursuant to section 12.Nev. Admin. Code § 640.Sec. 11
