Section 484D.155 - Noise emission standards for new vehicles
1. No person may sell or offer for sale in this State a new motor vehicle which produces a maximum noise exceeding the following noise limit at a distance of 50 feet from the centerline of travel under test procedures established in NAC 484D.150 to 484D.185, inclusive.

Any motorcycle manufactured on or after January 1, 1972, and before January 1, 1973.................................................................................................................... ..... 88 dBA
Any motorcycle manufactured on or after January 1, 1973......................................... ..... 86 dBA
Any motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 6,000 pounds or more manufactured on or after January 1, 1972, and before January 1, 1973................. ..... 88 dBA
Any motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 6,000 pounds or more manufactured on or after January 1, 1973............................................................. ..... 86 dBA
Any other motor vehicle manufactured on or after January 1, 1972, and before January 1, 1973................................................................................................... ..... 86 dBA
Any other motor vehicle manufactured on or after January 1, 1973............................. ..... 84 dBA

2. Test procedures for compliance with this section must be in conformance with those test procedures described in NAC 484D.150 to 484D.185, inclusive.
