Section 477.483 - Requirements for installation1. A firm must be licensed by the State Fire Marshal and the State Contractors' Board to install a fire sprinkler system in any one- or two-family dwelling or mobile home.2. The installation of a system may not begin until the plans for the job are approved by the authority having jurisdiction. An approved set of plans must be on the job site and available for inspection during all working hours.3. A person holding a certificate of registration issued by the State Fire Marshal must be on the job site and directly supervise the installation of the system.4. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 5, all workmanship must conform to the requirements of this chapter and the edition of NFPA 13D and 13R in effect at the time of installation.5. Each component must be installed in accordance with the requirements set forth in subsection 4 or the manufacturer's recommendations as work progresses.6. The firm that installs the system shall: (a) Certify, in a letter to the authority having jurisdiction, that the work meets the requirements of the edition of NFPA 13D and 13R in effect at the time of installation and the requirements of the State Fire Marshal. The letter must be sent within 10 days after the completion of the job.(b) Attach to the system a metal tag that includes the firm's name and address and the date of the installation.7. If a manufacturer's process or listing is used for any portion of the installation, that process or listing number must be noted on the submitted plans.Nev. Admin. Code § 477.483
