"Special inspector" means an elevator inspector who holds a current Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification issued by an organization that holds a QEI Certificate of Accreditation and a certificate of competency and who, on or after July 1, 2015, is employed by or affiliated with an authorized inspection agency to inspect elevators in this State. The term does not include an inspector as defined in NAC 455C.422.
