Section 391.Sec. 3.2 - NEW1. For the holder of a provisional special license with an endorsement as a registered apprentice to be employed as a teacher under a contract entered into pursuant to NRS 391.120, the holder must: (a) Have graduated with a bachelor's degree or higher from a teacher preparation program for registered apprentices that is approved by the Commission and the State Apprenticeship Council pursuant to chapter 610 of NRS; and(b) Be supervised by a member of the faculty from his or her teacher preparation program.2. A school district or charter school which employs a holder of a provisional special license with an endorsement as a registered apprentice pursuant to subsection 1 must:(a) Verify that the holder satisfies the requirements of paragraph (a) of subsection 1;(b) Assign the holder to a position that is commensurate with the major subject of the teacher preparation program from which the holder graduated; and(c) Compensate the holder beginning on his or her first day of employment on terms that include, without limitation, the rate of pay and benefits package that are commensurate with initial placement as a full-time employee.3. As used in this section, "teacher preparation program" means a course of study and training for the preparation of teachers or other educational personnel approved pursuant to NAC 391.558 or a program for an alternative route for the licensure of teachers and administrators approved pursuant to NAC 391.461.Nev.
