Section 391.13046 - Major or minor in instrumental and vocal music1. A comprehensive major in instrumental and vocal music consists of 36 semester hours in a course of study as follows: (a) Twenty-four semester hours which must include at least 3 semester hours in each of the following areas: (2) The history or literature of music;(3) Applied music, including training in instrumental and vocal music;(5) Techniques and pedagogy for brass, woodwind, string and percussion instruments; and(b) Twelve semester hours which must include at least 3 semester hours in each of the following areas: (3) Choral literature, diction or vocal techniques and pedagogy.2. A comprehensive minor in instrumental and vocal music consists of 24 semester hours of credit in a course of study as follows: (a) Fifteen semester hours which must include at least 3 semester hours in each of the following areas: (2) The history and literature of music;(3) Applied music in instrumental and vocal music; and(b) Nine semester hours in the following areas: (3) Techniques and pedagogy for brass, woodwind, string and percussion instruments; and(4) Choral literature, diction or vocal techniques and pedagogy.Nev.
