A licensee authorized to use radioactive material for imaging and localization studies must possess a portable radiation detection survey instrument capable of detecting dose rates over the range of 1 µSv (0.1 mrem) per hour to 500 µSv (50 mrem) per hour. If generators, Mo99/Tc99m or Sr82/Rb82, are utilized, a portable radiation measurement survey instrument capable of measuring dose rates over the range 10 µSv (1 mrem) per hour to 10 mSv (1000 mrem) per hour. The instruments must be operable and calibrated according to 180 NAC 7-030.
