Industrial uses of hand-held light intensified imaging devices are exempt from the requirements in 180 NAC 5 if the dose rate 18 inches from the source of radiation to any individual does not exceed 2 millirem per hour. Devices that exceed this limit must meet applicable requirements of 180 NAC 5 and applicable licensing or registration requirements of 180 NAC 2 or 180 NAC 3.
