Section 172-44-003 - BODY ARTIST LICENSE

To obtain a license, an individual must submit a complete application provided by the Department and provide documentation demonstrating that the applicant meets the licensing requirements of Neb. Rev. Stat. § 38-1060, 172 NAC 10, and this chapter.

003.01HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION. Applicants must submit a photocopy of a high school diploma, General Educational Development certificate (GED), or equivalent document.
003.02TRAINING. Applicants must submit documentation showing completion of a basic first aid class and bloodborne pathogens training. This training must have been completed within 1 year immediately prior to submitting the application for a license as a body artist. The training must be sponsored by one of the following:
(A) A professional body art organization or association;
(B) Local government;
(C) A hospital;
(D) A college;
(E) The Occupation and Safety Hazards Administration (OSHA);
(F) A national or local Safety Counsel;
(G) The American Heart Association; or
(H) The American Red Cross.
003.03EXAMINATION. Applicants must provide documentation of successful completion of the jurisprudence examination with a score of at least 75%.
