Section 163-2-011 - Educational Fishing Project Permit

The following regulations are prescribed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, State of Nebraska, in addition to State Statutes, in accordance with Neb. Rev. Stat. § 37-422, a special free fishing permit known as an Educational Fishing Project Permit. These regulations are effective following enactment by the Commission, approval by the Attorney General and Governor, and when five days have elapsed since filing with the Secretary of State.

The Educational Fishing Project Permit may be granted with the following provisions:

011.01 Eligibility. Only accredited current teachers/instructors shall be eligible for an Educational Fishing Project Permit.
011.02 Application shall be made with the Fisheries Division of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission on a form provided by the Commission. The application form shall include, but not be limited to:
1) a description of the education fishing project;
2) the specific time period for the project;
3) a list of students participating in the project, and
4) a permit expiration date.
011.03 This permit shall only exempt the holder and participants listed on the permit from having to possess a valid Nebraska fishing permit and shall not exempt any other rule or regulation.
011.04 This permit shall be available for display to any Commission employee while in effect.
011.05 Copies of the permit shall be provided to all participants who retain in their possession any aquatic organism requiring a valid fishing permit.
