The compulsory education statutes contained in Sections 79-201 through 79-210 R.R.S. impose a number of duties on superintendents, principals, teachers, school board members, and attendance officers, as well as persons in legal or actual charge or control of children. State law provides that persons violating the provisions of those statutes shall be guilty of a Class III misdemeanor (See Section 79-210 R.R.S.).
