Temporary employees receive the following types of paid leave: injury, civil and military training, or emergency duty leave (see Chapter 9 for information on leave). Temporary employees are not eligible for sick leave, vacation leave, retirement, or holiday pay. If a temporary employee works on a holiday or observed holiday, he/she will be paid for the time worked at his/her normal rate of pay. Temporary employees may receive unpaid leave at their supervisor's discretion.
