Rule 17.24.142 - BONDING: REPLACEMENT OF BOND(1) The department may allow an operator to replace existing surety or collateral bonds with other surety or collateral bonds, if the liability that has accrued against the operator is transferred to such replacement bonds.(2) The department may not release an existing performance bond until the operator has submitted and the department has approved an acceptable replacement performance bond. A replacement of performance bond pursuant to this rule does not constitute a release of bond under 82-4-338, MCA.Mont. Admin. r. 17.24.142
