Section 3 CSR 10-7.432 - Deer: Archery Hunting SeasonPURPOSE: The amendment aligns the Wildlife Code with recent statutory changes in regards to the constitutional carry of a conceal-able firearm.
(1) The archery deer hunting season is September 15 through January 15, excluding the November portion of the firearms deer hunting season. Use archery methods only; firearms may not be possessed except any person may carry concealable firearms, as defined in Chapter 571, RSMo, on or about his/her person while hunting. Firearms possessed under this exception may not be used to take wildlife while archery hunting. (2) Archery Deer Hunting Permits. (A) Resident or Nonresident Archer's Hunting Permit. Valid for two (2) deer statewide, except that only one (1) antlered deer may be taken prior to the November portion of the firearms deer hunting season.(B) Resident or Nonresident Archery Antlerless Deer Hunting Permit. Valid for one (1) antlerless deer in any open county. Persons may purchase and fill any number of these permits, where valid. A Nonresident Archer's Hunting Permit must be purchased before purchasing Nonresident Archery Antlerless Deer Hunting Permits. AUTHORITY: sections 40 and 45 of Art. I V, Mo.
