Section 7-34-B-300.169 - DutiesThe advisory panel-
(a) Advises the State Board of Education (SBE) of unmet needs within the State in the education of children with disabilities;(b) Comments publicly on any rules or regulations proposed by the SBE regarding the education of children with disabilities;(c) Advises the MDE in developing evaluations and reporting on data to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education under section 618 of IDEA;(d) Advises the MDE in developing corrective action plans to address findings identified in federal monitoring reports under Part B of IDEA; and(e) Advises the MDE in developing and implementing policies relating to the coordination of services for children with disabilities.7 Miss.
