Rule 40-2-4.4 - DESIGNATION OF SARDIS WATERFOWL REFUGE

Public Notice 3073 is hereby amended.

A. Be it ordered that the following described lands in Lafayette County, Mississippi shall be closed from and after September 1, 1990, to all waterfowl hunting, trespassing and to hunting of all game unless specifically authorized by order of the Commission from time to time; said described lands shall be known as Sardis Reservoir Waterfowl Refuge:

Township 7 South, Range 4 West, Lafayette County, Mississippi:

S 1/2 of Section 9

Entire Section 10

S 1/2 of S 1/2 Section 3

W 1/2 of the S 1/2 of the SW 1/4

W 1/2 of the SE 1/2 of the S 1/2 of SW1/4

All that part of Section 11 West of Hurricane Creek

NE 1/4; E 1/2 of the NW1/4; NE 1/4 of the SW1/4; N1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 14

All of Section 15, less and except the SE 1/4 of the BE 1/4

Entire Section 16

NW 1/4 of NW 1/4; less and except that part south of Conn Town Road;

E 1/2 of the NE 1/4 less and except 10 ac. in SE corner of the E 1/2 of the NE 1/4 Section 21

N 1/2 of the NW 1/4; NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 Section 22

N 1/2 of the NE 1/4 less and except that part east of the Pumping station Road; N 1/2 of N 1/2 of the S 1/2 of NE 1/4 less and except that part east of the Pumping Section Road;

SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of NW 1/4; HE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 Section 24

B. FIREARMS: No firearms shall be permitted on the area.

C. DOGS: Dogs are not allowed on the area.

D. FISHING:

1. No fishing on Refuge between November 1st and February 28th,

2. Fishing March 1st through October 31st from boats only;

3. No wading or bank fishing permitted at any time.
