NO OTHER SEASON shall be open and no other animals shall be hunted or disturbed.

B. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. WMA USER PERMIT: All persons using this wildlife management area, except those exempt from purchasing an annual hunting or fishing license, must carry on their person an annual statewide Wildlife Management Area User Permit. This permit is required in addition to completing the daily visitor use permit or by using the WMA Check-In App and any required license and may be purchased wherever licenses are sold.
2. BAG LIMITS: Same as statewide bag limits. Bag limits for Permitted YOUTH DEER hunt is one (1) antlerless deer and one (1) any-antlered buck per permit.
3. LEGAL SHOT/WEAPONS: Only non-toxic shot may be used for hunting waterfowl on this area. Any weapon may be used for the Permitted YOUTH DEER hunts.
4. DUCK HUNTING PERMITS: All duck hunts, except for the youth/veteran/Active Military hunts, are draw hunts only. You may apply online at www.mdwfp.com. See application for hunt dates, application deadlines, and other information about permitted hunts. Waterfowl draw hunts will be conducted on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays only.
5. OTHER MIGRATORY GAME BIRDS:
a. All other migratory game birds may be hunted in assigned units while on permitted waterfowl hunts during the legal season for the species.
b. Outside of the regular duck season, migratory game birds may be hunted daily on the WMA during the legal seasons for those species.
6. NON-HUNTING USE / SCOUTING: ATV use from October 1 - November 15 is prohibited. During Waterfowl seasons, non-hunting use/scouting is allowed by foot traffic only on Sundays and Wednesdays from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. and all visitors may ONLY park at the front entrance parking area.
7. DOG RESTRICTIONS: Retrievers allowed during migratory game bird hunts. All other dogs prohibited. Hunting, running, or pursuing hogs with the use of dogs is prohibited.
8. OFF-ROAD MOTORIZED VEHICLES/ATVs: ORVs/ATVs/Electric Bicycles are allowed on designated roads or trails for hunting access only. No vehicles allowed on levees. Additionally, electric bicycles may be ridden on marked foot-traffic trails only by users 65 years of age and older. They may not be ridden on any leveed roads or trails.
9. HORSES: No horses allowed.
10. CAMPING: No camping allowed.
11. SHOOTING HOURS:
a. Shooting hours for waterfowl end at 12 p.m., except during the youth, Veterans, and Active Military waterfowl hunt which shall run concurrent with the statewide waterfowl youth, Veterans, and Active Military hunt.
b. Waterfowl hunters must check-out by 1p.m.
c. All other migratory bird shooting hours are the same as statewide seasons.
12. DOVE: Dove may be hunted during the first statewide season east of the main gravel road. Shooting hours for dove are from 2 p.m. until sunset. No entry prior to 1:00 p.m. on opening day.
13. DEER DATA COLLECTION: All deer harvested must be recorded on DAILY VISITOR USE PERMIT card or the WMA Check-In App before leaving the area. All deer harvested must be checked at a self-service data collection station by the hunter who harvested them before leaving the WMA. If WMA personnel are not available to check the deer, the hunter is responsible for collecting and legibly recording ALL biological data (weight, antler measurements, and jawbone). Instructions and equipment will be provided.
