The Department of Revenue regulates most tax matters in the State of Mississippi. The Department's responsibilities also include regulating alcoholic beverages, medical cannabis dispensaries, property taxes, motor vehicle tags and titles, issuing permits, and certain business registrations. The Department and Commissioner interpret the statutes that they are charged to administer and enforce.
