The Addie McBryde Rehabilitation Center for the Blind is philosophically, as well as legally, committed to insuring that the rights of all its clients are fully protected. These policies and procedures are communicated to persons served, Center faculty and staff, consultants, interns/trainees, and volunteers through the Center Manual and the Client Handbook. These rights include but are not limited to the following:
1. The right to personal privacy unless the safety and welfare of the person served or others is threatened or there is a violation of state or federal law2. The right to be treated with dignity and respect at all times3. The right to be free from psychological and/or physical abuse in any form4. The right to be given all appropriate information concerning service delivery and consideration for placement in the highest and most appropriate program level5.
