For the purpose of the Mississippi Disabled Physician Law, Mississippi Code, Sections 73-25-51 to 73-25-67, any individual licensed to practice as a physician assistant shall be subject to restriction, suspension, or revocation in the case of disability by reason of one or more of the grounds set forth in the Mississippi Disabled Physician Law. If the Board has reasonable cause to believe that a physician assistant is unable to practice with reasonable skill and safety to patients because of one or more of the conditions described in statute, referral of the physician assistant shall be made, and action taken, if any, in the manner as provided in Sections 73-25-55 through 73-25-65, including referral to the Mississippi Professionals Health Program, sponsored by the Mississippi State Medical Association.
