To request permits for freezers, each complex must submit to the Board, in writing, a proposal for the purchase installation and maintenance of the freezers, as well as the protocol for collection and transportation of the dead birds. Permits to individual growers will be issued based on approval by the Board of the plan submitted by the complex. Each complex must agree to be responsible for making sure the freezers are emptied in a timely manner and dead birds taken to an approved disposal facility. There must be a letter from an approved disposal facility agreeing to handle the dead chickens.
