A certified private or commercial applicator may directly supervise the use of a restricted use pesticide by a non-certified applicator. The certified applicator must ensure that all requirements for direct supervision of non-certified applicators outlined in the EPA's Code of Federal Regulations 40 CFR § 171.201 are met prior to the use of the restricted use pesticide by the non-certified individual.
