This Regulation shall be known and may be cited as the Utilization Review Regulation and is promulgated by the Commissioner of Insurance pursuant to the authority granted to him by Title 83, the Mississippi Insurance Code; the requirements of Miss. Code Ann. §§ 25-43-1.101 et seq., the Mississippi Administrative Procedures Law; and the requirements of Miss. Code Ann. §§ 83-5-901 through 83-5-937, the Mississippi Prior Authorization Reform Act.
