Rule 18-17-5.17 - Reasons for Certificate TerminationA. MDHS shall terminate child care certificates in the Child Care Payment Program (CCPP) for any of the following reasons:1) Family income has increased to greater than 85% of the State Median Income (SMI) on a non-temporary basis.2) Non-temporary interruption in work/education requirement. The parent must notify MDHS within (10) days of job loss or withdrawal from enrollment in an educational/training program. A 3-month job search period will be allowed to search for a replacement to meet the work/education requirement. At the end of the search period, if the parent has not started new employment or is not enrolled in an educational/training program, the certificate shall be terminated.3) Expiration of the twelve (12) month eligibility or redetermination period, if the child/family no longer meets eligibility requirements.4) Family change of residence to a state other than Mississippi.5) Upon request of the parent.6) MDHS finds that the documents that were used to establish eligibility were false, falsified, or manipulated and all components of eligibility cannot otherwise be verified.B. CCPP Certificates shall be terminated due to nonpayment of co-payments for a period of three (3) months.C. MDHS will give a two (2) week notice to the parent and provider before terminating the certificate, unless the provider has been closed by the MSDH.18 Miss. Code. R. 17-5.17
