Rule 18-14-33.3 - Notice of Expiration (NOE)A. MDHS must provide a NOE at the time of certification for households certified for one month or certified in the second month of a two-month certification period.B. MDHS must provide a NOE in the month before the certification period expires.C. Jointly processed public assistance households need not receive a separate SNAP notice if they are recertified for SNAP benefits at the same time as their public assistance redetermination.D. The NOE will advise the household of the following:1. The date the certification period is ending;2. The date a household must submit an application for recertification in order to receive uninterrupted benefits (see Rule 33.6 Timely Application for Recertification for more information);3. Consequences of failure to apply for recertification in a timely manner (see Rule 33.12 Untimely Application for Recertification for more information);4. The right to receive an application upon request and for that application to be accepted as long as it contains a legible name, address and signature;5. Information on alternative submission methods;6. The address and phone number of the office where filing is taking place;7. Notice that an all member Supplemental Security Income (SSI) household is entitled to apply for SNAP recertification at a Social Security Administration (SSA) office;8. Notice that failure to attend an interview may result in delay or denial of benefits;9.
