Rule 18-14-31.15 - Expunged EBT BenefitsA. MDHS will expunge benefits after 9 months (274 days) of inactivity.B. At least 30 days prior to expungement, MDHS will issue a notice to households which will explain: 1. The date when benefits are scheduled to be expunged; and2. The steps necessary to prevent expungement.C. MDHS must expunge the remaining SNAP balance in the household's EBT account at the time a death match for all certified members of the household is verified and the SNAP case is closed.D. Expunged benefits are returned to the federal SNAP program.E. Households cannot access or have expunged benefits returned to their account.F.Exception: paying a claim.18 Miss. Code. R. 14-31.15
