Rule 18-14-22.11 - Comparable DisqualificationA. If a disqualification is imposed on a member of a household for failure to perform an action required under a Federal, State, or local means-tested public assistance program, MDHS may impose the same disqualification on the SNAP household member.B. This provision does not apply to individuals who are disqualified at the time the individual initially applies for assistance benefits.C. MDHS must stop the SNAP disqualification when it becomes apparent that the individual has become ineligible for assistance for another reason or the individual's assistance case is closed.D. Only the individual who committed the assistance program violation may be disqualified for SNAP purposes even if the entire assistance unit is disqualified for Title IV-A purposes.E. MDHS may determine the length of the disqualification provided that the disqualification does not exceed the disqualification in the other program.F. If the sanction is still in place at the end of one year, MDHS must review the case to determine the appropriateness of a further sanction.18 Miss. Code. R. 14-22.11
