Rule 15-12-31-1.13.1 - Standards for invalid vehicles: #224741. No vehicle used exclusively for invalid transfer is to have any markings, flashing lights, sirens, or other equipment that might indicate it is an Emergency Vehicle. The word "Ambulance" is not to appear on the vehicle. All advertising and vehicles used for invalid transfer shall display in a conspicuous manner a placard, visible from the exterior, or a notice on advertisements as follows: INVALID TRANSPORT THIS SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE.
2. The vehicle will have at least two doors leading into the patient compartment; one at the rear for patient loading and one on the curbside so that the patient may be easily removed should the rear door become jammed. All doors should be constructed so that they may be opened from inside or outside.3. To preclude substitution of services or the negligent or adverse delivery of medical transportation, after January 1, 2016, no ambulance service shall be authorized permits for invalid vehicles.15 Miss.
