Section 12-6-3.117.05.1 - GeneralMulti-year or short-term rental lease agreements may be used when:
(1) It would promote economy in procurement by obtaining the benefits of reduced monthly rental cost due to extended term rental and sufficient funds are not available for purchase;(2) The equipment requested is for a special project that would not warrant a purchase as the project is of short duration and with the termination of that project there would be no further need for the equipment; and(3) Such reason as may be prescribed by law for certain entities.12 Miss.
