where
m = moisture content of harvested grain determined before drying
a = adjusted moisture content, for example, 18.0% for corn
y = crop yield before moisture adjustment
ya = crop yield adjusted for moisture
Example: given- 8,000 lbs. of corn from 1.5 acre field, moisture content 22%
